    Question MyDomain.com problem with Dotster

A few of my domains, for example PlayHoops.com and RealtyNames.com are redirected through MyDomain.com but are resolving as Dotster registered domains. They are NOT registered at Dotster.

Did Dotster buy MyDomain or something?

Thank you iZoot! I appreciate that. Misery loves company. Yes, I see it's fixed now. Wow, that was disconcerting.

Tell me about it..I started my usual morning ritual of logging into my sites and it keeps coming up with Dotster Future home pages....I was a bit freaked to say the least..thought hte names had been stolen.

But check whois...all is well there...

I think these companies need to spend more on great programmers to find their security holes.

I think alot of folks felt your misery today looks like its working again now

Thanks again. Freaked is right. When I saw it, I was scared sick and couldn't eat for a while. You know that feeling? While it was happening, I tried to log into Dotster, but the management area was down for maintenance.

While this was happening, I went to my MyDomain.com account and clicked on something, and got a page from RegisterAPI.com (Dotster) saying the area was down. This made me suspect that Dotster now owns MyDomain.com, so I asked them. Here is the response:

    Response - 04/30/2003 04:53 PM
    Richard,

MyDomain.com is one of our sister properties and owned by CAS Holdings, INC. CAS Holdings, INC is also the owner for Dotster.
