Looking for a host, virtual, or otherwise, that offers additional IP address purchased al la carte or something. There are precious few of them. Most do so only for very high end Hosting plans (and then only if you ask)! Not cool for micro feeder sites and such!
When launching a fleet of micro sites on multiple domains, it does no good to link them all to each other for a popularity boost if they are all the same IP! Google knows that trick. Same reason hosting individual domains on the same virtual account, or same server, or even the same hosting company (usually) does not work for popularity, it's usually all the same IP address or the same RANGE of addresses. If ip numbers are too close to each other (same block), that qualifies as the 'same' IP at google.
