PHPbb memberlist page-disabling websites in profiles - DNForum - Domain Sales, Domain Forum, Domain Appraisals, Domain Registrars

Hi,
Not sure if anyone else has this problem but I started a forum and some people sign up for membership just to get a link back to their website since it allows them to put their website in their profile. Has anyone disabled this feature and how did you do it or should I leave this?

you can rename or modify memberlist.php

i'm just deleted it.

now i have vbulletin

can you make a class or subclass and disallow their siggy privileges?

Personally, I want my (active) board members to have this link.

As soon as a user has:
a broken link
a link to an unserios site
just logged in and never posted

or anything else unwanted, I just change his link to our (ugly) smily.

As long as you don't have hundreds of new members a day, it's just a few minutes administration work.

the easiest wayu if you are familiar with mysql , is to edit the database, the tabel will be something like member_profiles edit the website row and set the default to a space ( space on space bar ) then just edit the registration file and also the file that allows the users to edit their profile and remove the textfield for the website

LD then I guess you could sort all members by less active and replace with chosen domains in sigs eh?
