These are getting limited traffic. My thoughts are to develop shippingnotes.com into a website where people can buy in packs of 20,
8-1/2 x 11
Custom printed notes. Ex: Thank you, Happy Birthday, Congratulation's, Happy Anniversary etc but with very nice designs to stand out, printed on 100% recyclable paper. And of course a nice, small logo with shippingnotes.com would be at the bottom.
These notes people could lay down on top of the item they are shipping then close up the box for shipping. Or have a sticky side where it can stick to the inside flap of the box. Maybe even a mailing label itself with the note/message on top.
I myself have always wished there was something like this and just ended up writing a note myself to stick inside the box on regular writing paper. I am wondering if anyone thinks this is a o.k idea, or a total flop.
Marketing pretty much takes care of itself. Once a bunch of these get out there people could reuse them and the ones that are stuck on the inside of the boxes should remain in decent shape for a few shipments. Having the logo with the url on there should also bring in internet traffic to the website and more sales.
Another distant thought is if this were to take off, charge for advertising on the notes themselves like to ebay or paypal to incorporate their logos as well.
Anyway, just a dream I had. Thanks for your thoughts![]()
i would not spend my time on this idea.
the product could be great, but the fact is that you have to develop, design, manufacture, market and distribute a physical product that has a low sale price and zero barrier to entry.
Think about getting these into retailers - how will that happen? What is the barrier to entry for someone else with massive distribution should the idea take off? (answer - nothing - they will steal your idea and leave you high and dry).
That is my honest opinion.....
