    Posters.Biz new design

    http://posters.biz/

I have for the most part ditched my affilate stuff for wholesale purchase instead..a "real" store if you will.

Gives me greater flexibility and I am moving away for the most from the usual posters to more prints and posters that meet MY taste for a change on the main pages..

    http://posters.biz/erotic.htm

started on a shopping cart from 2checkout.com .. seems like a lot of you had recommended them..

anyways.. I feel like it's starting to come together..

would like some feedback...good ,bad ugly, change this consider that etc..

    I like it a lot

The layout and color scheme looks great.

Just a question...how did you find a wholesale source? Did you find someone to dropship for you or are you stocking the posters yourself?

What are your reasons for leaving Art.com/AllPosters.com

BTW, I love the erotic art.

    Thank you Paul,

cant disclose my wholesaler..not that big a deal just search and you find wholsalers for whatever you want to sale.

I went this route for a number of reasons.. for one It was simply time to move Posters.Biz to something different than mainstream..

    I want to brand Posters.Biz .not art.com

the kick in the rear was art.com moving their affiliate program from in house to linkshare.. meant I have over 300 posters or more I have to recode..

I really like Art.coms ease of use and in house affiliate set-up ..

I willl still keep art.com and allposters.com for the popular culture stuff..maybe 10% or so..

Thats said, I have alot more work now...so before you jump keep that in mind..

erotic page..may favorite too figure that

I need to add about a thousand posters..

whats the best approach ? would like to have about 12-15 thumbnails on each page , click a thumbnail and a large image appears center of screen (like those image gallery album type things).. but underneath the image I need to be able to add description of poster and an html "buy text button link" like i have now..
I want all this to appear inside my current webs template http://posters.biz

asp, php ? the easiest least expensive route..

PHP probably the best route , providing you have SQL

    Looks good.

One question: Do you need to pay tax, or does 2checkout handle all these?

CXZ, you set your taxes in your 2checkout admin.
For these I only needed to set up taxes for Az

A few people have suggested 2checkout.com.. so far so good ..easy setup..

Addictive, I've been looking at all the PHP image database scripts..a lot of them out there .. just a matter of finding the right one...

I even found one that grabs all the images off my wholesalers site(saving me weeks of work) ..well it works great on html sites but it cant grab asp generated pages .. oh well..

Nice site Bid!! If I remember correctly, I think you have improved the site considerably. It is always good to offer potential customers a fresh looking site that looks trustworthy.

    Good luck!

    Morning Manic,

did and do very well with the affiliate programs. I have many more Posters sites that I will still maintain a affiliate prescence.

I will still use art.com/allposters.com on posters.biz they will just play second fiddle.

How much can you make? Well it's the old cliche..How much work you put into and how smart you work..

the absolute #1 variable for ANY web site is SE placement..your revenues will be in direct relation to SE placement on the right SE's and directories..

    PositionTech.com

you can buy either inclusion to Fast network or,Inktomi network of Se's ..or both ..

It's relatively inexpensive and they update every 48 hours or so..

"Inclusion typically will take 24 to 72 hours depending on where in the cycle the subscription was made. On very rare occasions it may take up to a week. Once your page is indexed, the subscribed engine will crawl it for changes on average every 48 hours for the life of the subscription. Refresh data reflects engine's activity over the previous 24-48 hour period. Our reports are generally updated by 12:00 PM CST."

So thru them you get full coverage in all the "major" engines.. Google will find you as long as you have even a couple links

With so much competition, how can you get good placement?
Is it solely a question of how many $$$ you can afford to pay?

On Overture, Findwhat, Knooodle etc.. yes..you pay for position.

You can also buy "position" on most of the other engines today by buying "sponsor" spots ..

Pay for position works well IF you watch your ROI.. if you can sell your products and maintain a a high rank by purchasing keywords..then yes, you simply need to ddetermine what margins are accptable for you..

You also have to becareful of compettiors raising the bids trying forcing you out..by making it too expensive for you..

HINT: try and slide in under the radar.. #1 is not always the best place to be.

For engines that use accept pay for inclusion ..like Position Tech sends your site..most of those still use "spiders" which means you need to pay attention to the ever changing SEarch engines algorithims.. what worked today and got you in the top ten for youer keyword..may not work tommorrow..

basics are watch your title tag, sprinkle your "keywords" about your site, pick links and stay away from the "bad" neighborhoods. NO AUTO LINKING or "top link" sites..they will get you banned in the long run..

A link you want to pay attention too..

    Good Luck...
