I am using FP2000

I realize I still need add the "right" answers...(I'll supply /enter them just point out where they go in this script)

I went in a set up a lotteryquizresults.htm page for the results..
and probably screwed that up..

Should I have used this page as a "template"

or is that dynamical generated?

Started out good...then started going in circles ..I believ I said oh sh8t a few times

prasit....I fired off an email.. seems like that page is showing intermittently..sometimes it will some time it wont..
still cant publish from FP ..server extension problems..

probably done getting any work on it today...

.....I never use FrontPage for Internet publishing, especially when you are using other technologies such as JS..... I have found even if your host has FrontPage facilities it can depend which IIS version they have to which FrontPage version you are using and the added code FP puts in is a nightmare and can mess up other stuff..... (my personal opinion ofcourse! )

I have had a hate/love relationship with it for the past 2 years..and was just back on the the "love" side


You recommned I simply scrap that page and build the same form from scratch using FP's Form Wizard ..or is their a faster more reliable way?

...I just checked your form and it seems to be working now? or if not exactly what is it thats playing up?..... I wouldnt scrap the page I just wouldnt use FrontPage to generate the form, I'd do it in straight html or DreamWeaver and make sure any Form Field values and associated files (as you've used a JS) are addressed correctly and all on the server and not pointing to anything local....

HUH what ? See Ihague I know just enough about JS and FP form validation ...whats the saying.."just enough to be dangerous"...

Let me see If I get this..

1)the above link was generated using FP ..correct ?

2.) He made an html page named "resultaten.htm"

3.)I make a html page named "lotteryquizresults.htm"

so the question is getting the "answers" to "post" on the "lotteryquizresults.htm" page ..

I am able to do all of this from scratch using FP2000..I've done that before.. but now JS is involved also and I am working backwards ...which script is going to actually generate the results FP or JS.. you are saying ignore FP and make JS generate the form ..correct ?

I think I'm in too deep on this one

To top it off the script was written in german..well not the actual script ...but all his "notes" and other text.. in some ways that should help me though when looking at the source code..for incuding my actual "answers" ... I'll see all english script..then german" ..I'll know thats where his results are..just pull his and include mine?

I dont know how to generate the form using straight html Ihague..

It's not that important that I want to spend a bunch of money on..just thought it was a nice looking quiz...a little cut and paste ..change the questions and answers etc..

You dont want to mess with it thats fine...I probably should "learn" instead of taking an out(I mean keep trying to get it to work).. speaking of "outs" can you recommend a better option ..cut and paste..preferable not a remote host deal though..
