Script to redirect visitors based on language of browser / country of origin

Hi ya'll,

does anybody know of a script that recognizes the visitors browser language or the country his ip comes from and allows me to redirect them? For example US traffic to an us affiliate, french traffic to a french one, etc?

Would be great if somebody could help me out!

All you need is a database that map IP to certain country.

There're many company provide this service, but not free.

I think http://ip-to-country.webhosting.info/ provides a free ip->country database you can download, and some example php code to use it.

support for sending someone to different pages based on the browsers language preference is a standard part of apache... you just enable it then make pages for each language index.html.fr index.html.de etc... and in that can be the redirect
