Trying to develop a statewide hub information portal. PHPLD or phpMyDirectory? I am aquiring the domain, now I need to build out a plan to be THE top Statewide information portal. Looking for a 'do it all' script or wordpress with plugins that would work. Any idea? Examples?

WordPress is good for content. But if you end up doing the homework on a directory script, would love to know which one you end up deciding is the best. i'm looking into directory scripts now myself and would definitely like to revisit this thread if you make a recommendation as to which one you deem best.
