I am wanting to build a simple site with a few pictures, a few videos and some text but there part I'll be having the toughest time with is the e-commerce side of things.
I am hoping to offer payments options such as the popular credit cards (visa, mastercard, Amex) as well as paypal. I guess I'm looking for a shopping cart feature that would keep a running total of the selected products and calculate a total with taxes and shipping.
Does anyone know of a wordpress or Joomla theme that has this feature, or a website builder that I could use for this?
Thanks

basically I want to build a site with a products page where the user can select the desired products, have them sent to a shopping cart and upon checking out, having the total calculated for them and to have the fields where they enter the shipping address as well and payemnt information.
If I'm not providing the information you're looking for, please let me know what you need to know and I'll answer.
zen cart is a good choice, i have nice template i can offer you
So I've been looking around at different options and I was wondering what I have to do to incorporate the store into my site. Looking at places like Zen Cart, etc... it seems that the store page will look drastically different that the rest of my site.
I know I can customize a bit, but nowhere near enough to look like an exact match.
What I did was buy a CSS template and now I am just trying to incorporate the store to show my products and eventually bring the customer through a check-out and onto a payment page.
Does anyone have any experience with setting up e-stores? If I contracted out, how much am I looking at?
Hey Spex,
It depends on what e-commerce store you are trying to do. For a simple store I would use a simple open-source shopping cart system or maybe wordpress with an ecommerce plugin. That can from from $100 to $1000 depending on the script and possible theme you want. For a powerful store using maybe CS-Cart or Magento you are looking at $500 - $5000 in terms of getitng a license and a nice design.
