I'm just looking for anything that can provide ideas on how to crank up the membership. I've done everything from advertising to all sorts of new features and such and yet I cannot seem to do what many of the other similar forums do in terms of growth.

I think your best bet now is just word of mouth.

Try to encourage users to get more signups if you already haven't.

Maybe some sort of rewards system for getting new members.

I have more bots(7), if you make 1 post then 2 pages in the same topic are being created from the bots but lets stop talking for the bots and talk about the teen-community!

Last time I saw that site, it was phpBB. I was going to tell you to upgrade to IPB. But it looks like you already have!

All I would do is cut down on the amount of forums, until the site grows. Then expand.

I have same problems with www.grungemusicforum.com

I put a main site up but that doesn't seem to have helped much, I still have $100 I can use for advertising but have yet to find the right site to advertise on (I won't rush in on that), and soon I will be adding hacks like a arcade etc which might help.

I have thought about advertising in my local paper etc, might help.

In regards to advertising in the paper. I have heard from many people that most newspaper advertising doesn't work. Just a heads up that there may be a better use for your money.

Well the paper ads are free, so I wouldn't lose anything.

I agree, I think paper advertising is something that should be targeted at certain services. I've been throwing some money at advertising and it seems to be doing alright but I'm not sure how to continue to build the place - I suppose it's just sit and wait now.
