Uploaded PDF files corrupt

Hi guys,

I am sure someone more web hosting savvy can help me. I have uploaded some pdf documents to my webserver but when I download them again my pdf reader cannot open them and the size is only a few bytes of the files.

Is there a special way I have to upload pdf files so that they "work" when someone downloads them again? I'm using cuteftp.

Would be grateful for some help.

Thanks
Mike

Re: Uploaded PDF files corrupt

I use cuteftp as well and have no problem with pdf's.

The only thing I can think it may be is the transfer type is incorrect.

Auto
ASCII
Binary

Choose Auto or Binary for PDF's...

Or.. your copy of cuteftp is a trial version and it has expired which reduces functionality...

Re: Uploaded PDF files corrupt

Hi,

I have tried Auto and Binary and both don't work. I have cuteftp 7.0 pro regged.

It's really weird. On the server the pdf's have the correct file size but when I donwload them they are each only 400 bytes or something and corrupt.

This sucks.

edit:

OK, I got it!!

The thing why it didn't work was because the file names had also large characters and I tried the URL with small characters. I thought that wouldn't mind or simply didn't think of it. Me silly...

Sorry for bothering you!

Thanks very much for your help though.
