I'm looking at having some web site development done for me and I am trying to find the best Portal or Content management script to use for a news and forum based portal.

I appreciate the posts! Thank you. I looked at them all and am leaning towards PostNuke but will probably leave it up to development to decide. I plan to use vBulletin for forums and hivemail for free email. Any other comments or suggestions would be appreciated. I also hope to scroll news and other events on the site with java scripts if that flavors anyones opinion on portal software.

SharePoint server (MS product) works well.

Also use PostNuke (for *nix sites)
