Who FEEDS these websites with this news?

The Drudge Report, the site that "broke" the story about Prince Harry, appears to be a generic news feed of some sort from somewhere.

    See: http://www.drudgereport.com/

    Then see: http://www.thedeadpelican.com/

I want to add some of the feeds from the second one to one of my Louisiana sites but am not sure of the origin. They appear to be from the same source.

Can anybody tell me where this feed comes from?

I believe all the links on the left hand column are feeding the drudgereport.

Drudgereport.com is a site that has been around for awhile and I have oft times seen it used as a source of information, although very little original content.

It is basically a compilation of top stories and items. Who does the selection is beyond me.

TheDeadPelican.com appears to be a clone of the drudgereport.

If you right click your mouse to reflect page source, this will tell you where all the feeds (sources) are coming from.

I appreciate it, Doc, but I guess I was trying to find if the source was actually a script rather than a compilation of individual links. Because of the similarity, I figured there might be at least a template of this out there somewhere requiring just a little reconfiguring.

    Try this.

    Use FireFox.

    Right click the site.

Scroll down to View Page Source.

You can create your own script or clone.

This can also be done in IE.

There does not appear to be too many lines that would need to be reconfigured.

Just a thought...you would be creating the script you need.

I could copy and modify the script but didn't want to take a chance on violating someone's copyright. I was hoping to find the source. Anybody???

virtual-live rss feed forums are extremely valuable if they are set up right, generate high uv rates, content rich, regardless of subject matter.
