haha Ya I know...I didn't want to spend a whole lot on development right now. Just trying to get something up before I invest more into it.

i think you might want to use a backend designed just for directories that is styled to blend into your wordpress theme. which one to use i have no idea - not my area of interest.
eSyndicat is free (as far as I know).

There is still a free version - It has a paid version for a log time
PHPLinkDirectory.com is another one - That has free and paid version.

Where can I get the free version? I can find phplinkdirectory's 2.2 free version but there is no luck at eSyndicat .
I've found 2 Wordpress options as well:

ClassiPress - not exactly a "directory" but can be used in a similar manner.

That looks interesting - esp unlimited licenses. How easy / hard was it to set up and/or customize?
I guess I would go with the business version ($100) for the Paypal and (coming soon) Google checkout options.

We went with the business version as well. We had it up and running within a couple hours. Not too difficult.
