Just thought I should get some cool plugins installed for my blog.

Any good recommendations to help improve the visitor experience, involvement and traffic?

Every wordpress I set up gets the all-in-one-seo-pack, and the adsense-manager plugins.

Thanks, I'm more looking for comment related plugins and some stuff to add more content to the blog, rather than seo and ads as it's a personal blog

SEO is mandatory, even for a personal blog. And All in One SEO is probably the best plugin for that. For content - Vipers Video Tags etc are nice too, though the latest version allows you to embed photos/videos/audio directly.

Ajax chat is cool, allows people to edit comments withing 2-5 mins of posting them.

Social bookmarks, Digg buttons etc are nice too, I use ShareThis and SubscribeMe.

Some WP plugins leave your server open to script-kiddie attacks via SQL injection and more. There are many posted daily so keep an eye on this page.
