    2 different questions

    Hi All,

Got some free time to start some new projects and I need some help:

    1. Anyone familiar with Pay Per Installation programs ? Like for everyone that enters a page, he gets a message box asking if he wishes to install bla bla bla and you get paid for each installation ?

    2. I remember reading an article on optimizing AdWords (not adsense), meaning, how to choose less competitive keywords and basically pay less per click as an advertiser. I just can't find this article now (I think someone posted it here at DNF). Anybody remembers this ?

    Thanks alot
    Idan

I seem to recall that typos are very good for this, e.g., if you're advertising "Hotel Reservations", and the cpc is $2, you could probably get a typo for much less.

    Hope this helps.

A lot of people click OK by accident and think you're trying to install spyware on their system (and many of the apps that are advertised this way ARE spyware).

There are a lot of software tools that do this. I use Adwords-Equalizer.com.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

austinandrew, isn't Adwords-Equalizer.com just helps finding the cheapest places to PPC advertise?

I have so many of these darn software programs that I get them all mixed up

KeywordsAnalyzer.com is what I meant. You punch in a keyword and it digs Overture to bring up related words (sometimes thousands). It also shows the number of searches per month, results, and # of Google campaigns. This will help you find related keywords that don't have many ad campaigns.
