Click Bank VS Commission Junction

Hi guys, I'm starting to branch out into affiliate marketing and move away from parking. The plan is to develop 1 page sites on all my domains with some unique content, some links to my other related sites and some adsense and some affiliate links.

My question for you is would you recommend Click Bank or Commission Junction or should I use both at the same time?

Can you please identify pros and cons and possibly provide links to sites using these two providers.

I've never had much luck with Clickbank - to me its mostly garbage ebook stuff. CJ on the other hand has real companies with real products.

You might want to be careful putting adsense up on one page sites. It probably isn't in synch with the TOS.

Thanks for the input, have you had success with affiliates through CJ?

Adsense is fine on 1 page sites. I will be developing the content and each site will be unique so I am not concerned about that. I don't believe there are any rules with having Adsense and affiliate links on the same page.

In my experience Clickbank worked fine for months but I've recently tried this: www.click2sell.eu

They pay with Paypal and I love the service.

Honestly, it's like comparing apples with the colour orange.
CB & CJ provide two totallydifferent monetization methods.
CB is much more like a traditional MLM without actually being a scam. CJ actually is affiliate marketing.

CB is popular because it's easy. You pick a product you want to promote, and you get a link. If someone buys the product after clicking your link, you get money. Of course, that's pretty much all it does.
The company I work for, Affiliation Cash, provides pretty much the same service, although we actually screen our products, and specialise in a couple of niches to make sure we can actually support the merchants and their products.

CJ, on the other hand has a variety of merchants, that sell a multitude of products, and usually have very advanced websites themselves. They provide a much greater diversity of ways in which you can sell and promote the products.
In turn, this means if you want to be succesful, you need to have a bit of coding chops, or at least know where to hire someone that does, so you can make a decent site... Or just run a blog. I occasionally post reviews of nerd products on a few MUblogs with my CJ links in them.

Agreed 100%. clickbank is the bargain barn of affiliate sites and compared to cj is really a bottom-feeder imo. Also if you don't hit the minimum they DEDUCT from your earnings!

I've had great success with cj and the google affiliate network - www.connectcommerce.com.

No there is not - as long as there is other content! The use of rel="nofollow" on the affiliate links also seems to please the google monster.

Much appreciated guys, very good feedback. I will check out the Google affiliate network because for some reason I have not done so yet - not sure why since I love Adsense!
