Country: | Re: Crazy system I was recommended to use the keywords 'cosmetic surgery' for tit.st, yes the payout started better at 0.70 euros but then deteriorated quickly to less than 0.10 euros, the conversion rate of click-throughs was only 5 - 7% at best, so changing the keyword back to 'porn' increased click-through to <30% at 0.03 euros! Simple maths said move it back to 'porn'!
The problem is as said above, TexasHoldem.st was getting 1.53 euros a click through then fell through the floor to 0.03 euros a click-through, and that was with unchanged appropriate keyword, this all happened in the space of Friday/Saturday this weekend!
I just am no longer bothered with the hassle, for the few euros a month parking a domain can bring in it is not worth the continued time to keep checking every single day, especially when Sedo will not inform us what keywords will pay what.
To rub salt into the wounds my domain This.St has constantly averaged 80 uniques a day and all American, and yet not one single click through. Even when asked Sedo could not help. I have Green.St that gets 30 uniques a day from Japan, again no help from Sedo there either. Guess what, I am developing This.St into an information site specifically for the US and am having a friend develop Green.St along the same lines for Japan. It is the only way to go. (Mind you I am somewhat stuck on developing 'IllegalWeb.St', I just accept the multiple 0.03 euros per click for that - it has already paid for itself in just this month anyway.) |

Country: | Re: Crazy system hmm quite interesting actually did not consider it but looking at my stats that is what they are obvisouly doing, they are paying much better if the KW is within the domain.
I have 3 financial domains all with the same keyword the second one its actually even more related (better conversion for sure) than the first one.
But the first one has the KW within the name here are the stats of the domains till I moved out the second domain from sedo:

As a last note the traffic comes from the same country as far as quality concerned I am convinced that the second one is by far the best.

at least 100 users at dnf who would want the old system back.

Where the h*ll did the other couple of dollars go? Related to the domain or not, this appears to be nothing but a pretext for them to increase profits on our backs. |

It appears Sedo made a mistake, what a surprise, instead of 1.53 Euros I should have been getting 0.65 Euros! Now isn't that a surprise, I was overpaid, but hang on, what about all those low-ball click throughs! 0.03 Euros and alike?
Did I not read somewhere on another post that Sedo had admitted all the Stats were wrong, undercounted that is, and payments were wrong, underpaid, and it was all due to the implementation of the auction system. In the same post it was all going to be fixed and put right within a 48 hour period, a period that has now passed. Has anybody had corrected Stats or click-through paymenst, I haven't!
As I said in another thread 'how can Sedo do something so brilliantly right like introducing the auction listing format and also run what must be the worst organised PPC programs?' |

The practices behind all this require deep scrutiny. I am shocked at the ability of PPC companies to pretty much dictate the revenue cut we receive and to not be obligated to disclose numbers.

I know of know other industry that is allowed to run wild without any oversight or accountability whatsoever. Right now, they are enjoying a wild west business environment, but all you need is some indicia of fraud, perhaps leaked by a disgruntled former Sedo employee, and it will all come out during the discovery process... |
