Lowest weekday of the past 2 years. Hits, clicks as expected. PPC - straight down to hell.

    LOL... he's my rep too.

Called last week and was told that he'd be back with me before the end of the day... NOTTA.

Today, roughly 10 days later, still notta.

Re: How Much Lower Will It Go, Sedo?

I am about to move my 400+ portfolio from sedo...It will be a pain in the ass, but I keep losing money...It seems like whenever I figure out a grouping of key words that pay out high...it only happens once and then sedo puts the clicks down to .10 cents or lower. This month I have experimented with three word combinations and have had great success ($7.00-$9.00+ clicks)...It only happens once though and then sedo keeps the money themselves...I am getting tired of constantly having to think up new keyword that are relevant to my domains that pay more than .03-.10 cents.

I would love to know how much my names really have earned...

I have little doubt that all this "tweaking" of keywords is to put the burden of generating money on us. Then Long John Silver Sedo walks in and keeps the loot. Here's a dubloon for you, lad!

    Acro,

What's the chance the guys that control payouts are monitoring your postings and are lowering your PPC rate to keep pissing you off??

I understand you have a large portfolio and migrating all your names away would be a cumbersome task but why not take the top 10 and park elsewhere for a week to determine if Sedo really are being pigs or if the issue is that the advertisers are paying less.

    Just my 2 cents

Re: How Much Lower Will It Go, Sedo?

My mission is to get Sedo back on track. They can't proclaim they are the industry's leaders while offering a pathetic service at the same time. And as long as these posts get indexed by Google, we're on a good track. Their lack of response is now legendary.

I used to email my account rep for my top traffic names and had him re-optimize the names and come up with high paying keyword combinations.

Exact same thing happens. First couple days there are good/acceptable results.

Every day after that its progressively less and less until the PPC is grinded down to no more than 10 cents a click. This is a lot less than before they "changed the system to earn us more".

Re: How Much Lower Will It Go, Sedo?

I might end up being wrong, but I don't think they are going to respond anymore on this sort of stuff.

The PR person they have assigned is just designed to run a modified version of "collateral damage" control it seems. You will only get fluff, canned response type of answers, more often then not, it would seem.

They are doing "something" and have no plan on stopping it. They don't seem to care if anyone on this site makes 100 "Sedo sucks" "What's up with Sedo" or "My earnings are dropping" type posts. They JUST DON'T CARE.

So do yourself a favor. If you are someone that was making good money from them, pick up and leave. Go somewhere else. The only way companies like this can be forced to notice the small people is if enough small people join forces and knock them on their ass.

Otherwise, all this extra money you aren't seeing anymore will go to help fund their new tan they get this winter down in the Caribbean. What will you be doing? Probably posting on DNForum about how frustrated you are with them, because you are losing more and more money.

    And they still won't care.

(Hope i'm wrong, but you all know i'm probably not)

Re: How Much Lower Will It Go, Sedo?

As long as threads like this are full of complaints, they will care. Trust me on that. A slow starter they might be, but once the majority of Sedo references in search engines are piled up with all this steamy manure of lack of support, it will become a game of "We care for our customers".

The more they insult our intelligence, the harder it will become for Sedo to bounce back and reclaim their lost ground.

Re: How Much Lower Will It Go, Sedo?

It's a competitive industry guys. There are others out there offering other options. It's time to let your dollars do the talking. Domainsponsor is great and reliable. Always seem to be working to improve click values. Traffic club allows you to change landers without changing parking companies. Trafficclub also allows URL forwarding. Klickerz is probably giving the highest payouts in the business (as long as you are OK with sedo landers and can wait for your money). I can't really speak for the others.

    Acro:

If this comes to pass, I would have a hearty laugh with you, because to me it would be the ultimate admittion of failure.

"We pissed everyone off until we saw our pockets were being emptied"

Screw that. There should be a watch dog group for this industry. This isn't just because of Sedo, it's because I think it's a big enough industry to warrant it. Then companies that pull this crap can't just put their tall between their legs and run back home after they have a crazy and free rolling weekend in Vegas, on our money.

Watchdog groups are needed for monopolies. This industry is competitive enough that we can police it ourselves through our actions.

Re: How Much Lower Will It Go, Sedo?

Are we having enough of an impact though? I'm asking as a serious question, not in an effort to shoot down your response.

It seems from what I see here, on the board at least, that alot of complaining happens, with not alot of results.

You would think the fact that there is so much competition out there with Parking companys, that none of them would try and pull anything shady, and yet it seems to happen.

Just did a Google search for "domain parking". Gues who's number 1, way ahead of the competition, yep Sedo.

Re: How Much Lower Will It Go, Sedo?

I would be willing to start by taking off my top 50 names..If we can get 10-20 dnforum members to do the same...it just may end the sedo silence. If I find good results somewhere else I will move all my names...I think Sedo is banking on the fact of how difficult it is to move a portfolio (which is why I have not done that yet)...50 will take some time, but a lot easier that 450.

    What do you all think?
