IDN name at SEDO

1) I cant seem to enter IDN domains for sale in sedo. It says "the listing contacts invalid characters" How do I do it? Please dont tell me sedo does not support IDN, as there are many IDN names listed already in sedo.

2) I remember getting into a bulk domain selling format in sedo, where I can enter muiltiple domains for sale with columns containing their name, price, offer, and so forth. How do I go there again?

Have you tried entering them in "encoded" format, and seeing if they register as IDN afterwards? May be worth trying. I suspect its much easier to detect an encoded IDN domain name, than to distinguish between a true IDN domain name and input that just has garbage characters in it.

I suspect sedo is picky and boycott users with specific IDN names. I wanted to list my IDN names to sedo. and this is the email I got from Mara S. Miller, the Key Account Manager:



I just spoke with our technical team, unfortunately at this time our system does not support these types of IDN names. We only support more common ones. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

I mean IDN names are IDN names. What are 'common' and 'uncommon' IDN names? Does sedo means to say that for example chinese are not allowed to enter into a restaurant while other nationality can eat there because I am being 'uncommon'?

They should work, I have many listed there.

Try the sedo idn tool and convert the names to the different format.

I see the problem.

It looks like they're working off an OLD version of the NET IDNA Pear class for PHP. I ran into the same problem with these names on FreeWho, but recently updated the class, and it has fixed everything. If anyone is listening at Sedo, the information is here:
