I have several domains with you.
Some of them use sub url's like mp3.domain.com - this isnt working and this means lose of traffic.
I am using your nameservers, I hope this will be fixed very soon

Hello from Sedo,
Sorry Rico - we don't accept subdomains for the parking program.

hmm.
May I ask why ?
There's plenty of subdomain traffic on some domains
Hi Rico,
I'm just checking with the technical team...
I'll have a definitive answer for you tomorrow.
I'm not too sure on the details with subdomains etc., so better to check!

probably they treat subdomains as a domain itself.
Hello again!
Right - got an answer from the tech team:
If you are parking via DNS change:
- subdomains do not work
ie. hello.sedo.com will not work, but www.sedo.com will work, as will www.sedo.com/hello
If you are parking using URL redirection:
- you need to confirm with your registrar that all sudirectories can be forwarded to Sedo.
Kind Regards,
Nora Cotter

Can this be done?
Will you fix it?

Rico... just redirect all traffic from subdomains to your main domain & then redirect all traffic hitting your main index file to sedo.

cyphix,
Yes I know i could to that, but it would be easier to just add sedo;'s nameservers instead of redirecting it.
I agree Rico. All subdomain traffic should be picked up by sedo. There can't be any real excuse for not allowing it. Maybe it's just the technical issues that they haven't got round to working out yet.
This is one of the reasons I preferred trafficz.com to sedo a couple of years ago, as the hit statistics were so much lower for some names at sedo.
At that time, I'm not sure they even picked up traffic going to folders such as sedo.com/hello, but they have had that working now for some time.
Yep
Nora,
Maybe you can tell the tech people to fix it, since I already have tons of names which use sub urls and probably not me alone

Since not all registrars allow free redirecting, they want to use free (yours) nameservers,
and some people dont know how to redirect sub url traffic to the main domain.
Where is a register that DOES offer free subdomain redirects, exept enom, and their resellers?
does fabulous catch subdomain traffic?
Fabulous catches subdomain AND error traffic automatically
Means ANYTHING.domain.com/ANYTHING will go to www.domain.com
Best possible configuration - nothing else makes sense. That's why I use Fab to forward to sedo even though I'd prefer to avoid the extra step by setting my nameservers to SEDOs.
