Parked Portal Pages - Optimization Tips

Further to my post last week about our portal pages, we have streamlined the system and made it easier to set a portal page for your parked domains.

Our portal page comes in two versions: the General Portal Page and the Adult Portal Page.
The general page looks like this:
jiwang.com
shadetree.com
avg.co.uk

And the adult one like this:

adultfriend.com
sexyclub.com

We recommend using the general portal page if your domain does not have specific niche adverts (even though everybody knows we have the best niche adverts in the business...) For example edismyname.com wouldn't have a great range of targeted ads, so it would be best to set a portal page.

However, tests show that if your domain does have suitable parking ads, then it is better to set a niche keyword than to have portal page.

If the portal page is for you, you can set it by typing the following into the optimization suggestion check:

- portal
- portal site
- portalsite
- portalseite
- webarchiv

As far as the adult portal is concerned, this is the best solution for adult domains. This is because our adult domains work on a two-click system - i.e. landing page is a portal which takes you to more targeted ads when clicked. This proves to be very effective for our users and also protects the rights of minors surfing the web.

You can set up the adult portal by entering

- adultportal
- adult portal

into the suggestion check. These are no longer case sensitive.
