I'm sure none at sedo wears the "SS" (sedo Specialist) insignia.

Because Americans do not know or use credit cards, at least majority of them. They only know debit cards. Plus, banks do not let hefty CC payments goes through. For example you can not pay 1000 dollards easily for most of the banks CC.

There are other methods to get deposit but I am sick and tired of discussing sedos policy and I do not want to sell or buy through them. So forget them and find other ways of selling domains.

Not really, there were 1,300,000,000 credit cards in use in the US in 1994.

    http://www.creditcards.com/statistics/statistics.php

    Also from same article:
The credit card industry mailed over 6 billion credit card offers in 2005,
an average of 6 offers per household per month.

My American Express says otherwise. Oh, and my Visa and Mastercard. And the bottom line is: only those that have something to hide do not run a freaking WHOIS and contact the seller directly! I treat all lowball offers on sedo as attempts to steal my domains and always counter-offer 100x the amount. Those bidders that are serious about the *domain* will eventually pay. Those that just want to hide behind anonymous bids run away.

Wow that is way way off.
Too many Americans use too many credit cards that's why there are so many debt reduction/consolidation companies.
My CC transaction/processing fees in the $xxx, xxx also tell a much different story. And we teach our sales people to ask if the customer would rather use a debit card since it is a much lower fee (especially on a $xxxx purchase) but in the end it is mainly CC's.

    Are you on their payroll?
sedo has shown time and again that they don't play by the rules.
editing by an admin about an issue from sedo without sedo answering is alarming..looks a little like censorship...I would like to know what the issue was

    Re: Sedo: Deadbeat bidder solution!

Perhaps sedo should post a calendar of STAFF Birthdays, Religous Holidays, Staff Days Out, Slumber Days, Public Holidays, non-public holidays, baby days, give computers a rest days, janitors retirement, janitors birthday, fire drill days, American Idol Final, Big Brother Final, Take your Grandma to the Zoo days. And of course the days where your junior bulgarian developer decides to play about with the servers and causes a crash (of which you blame on DDOS) and then give all the staff a week off to recover.

Just so you know, a computer virus is not airborne, so there is no need to give the staff the time off and close the offices for a week.

Therefore a with a calendar; perhaps we could have a better idea when they will actually be in the office doing some work.

NY's post called Sedo "nazi". While I'm against censorship I believe that one was stretched too far as it devaluates the anguish of those that suffered from the real nazis in WWII.

    moment of silence? just kidding.

I wouldnt compare sedo with Nazi's. I think they have just gotten too big for themselves..not enough employees etc.

I think he was trying to hurt them on their German background. Frankly, multi-national corporations have no fatherland when it comes down to money. I've both assaulted and praised sedo, based on their performance. But I would not call them racist names.

This has to be one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard. And I've heard a bunch of them.

    That's funny, and sadly true.

I seem to recall a while back all work at sedo stopped because of a German holiday, now all work has stopped because of a US Holiday, then there was the 6 weeks off for Chrismas + New Years, so you're not so far off.

Sedo, please post a calendar of when you ARE working, that might be easier.
