I would like to change the keywords on my .html page.. in the <head></head> section. I'm hoping to increase my google placement by doing so.
Can I do that? or am I stuck with the sedo domains for sale message in there?

can't you just use frames for that? top frame with header and keywords and the main frame for the sedo links?
