    Sedo's New Bidding System

    Hello from Sedo!

We've just introduced a new bidding process to make it easier for buyers to place an offer on your domain names.
This should be especially true of first-time buyers who are new to the bidding game!
We hope that the new system will increase bidding activity and lead to more sales of your domains!

Since this is a brand new feature there are likely to be ways that we can further improve it-- we would appreciate your comments on the new feature and any constructive criticism.
Please send it directly to our CEO Matt Bentley at matt AT sedo.com.

I think the minimum bid should be at least 100.
    $60 is a "loss" sale.

    Re: Sedo's New Bidding System

    Hi Dvdrip,

Minimum bid is dependent on the eventual minimum sales commission.
ie. the commission on the sale of a .com is min. $50, hence the min. bid would be $60
the commission on the sale of a .co.uk is min. $100, hence the min. bid is $110

The currency depends on the currency specified in the listing.

    Kind Regards,

    Re: Sedo's New Bidding System

What I am saying is that most registrars charge $10+ to register a domain.
If you accept a $60 offer you are actually losing money.
Even with a $6.50 registration, the $3.50 profit is a joke cause you will spend too much time with the transfer so eventually it will be a loss.

I guess it is the same for Sedo if the sale is $60 or $500 but you have to think of your clients too. Also it would be nice if the buyers could see that when they make a $60 offer, $50 goes to sedo.
