Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!In the last few months I have sold about a dozen domains through sedo. Payments are wired to me. In most cases sedo pays their own banking costs, I pay mine, as is usual in international transfers.
In 3 cases however, an exta charge is taken of up to $22. For me, it is pretty clear this charge is taken by Sedo (or their bank), because:
1) I called my bank, they checked and confirmed the money was taken by the sender (ie Sedo).
2) In the same period I have received a few dozen international wires from other companies, but the extra charge only occurs with Sedo payment.
3) The official wire documentation clearly says "Costs by originating bank".
I have been in touch with Sedo about these charges and faxed them the wire docs. Their answer can be summarised as "We have paid our own bank charges." No explanation was given why the wire docs point out differently.
Has anybody else seen similar unexpected charges?

I have seen that happen with other transfers before, but in that case the wire papers will state the full amount as sent by the originating bank. That didn't happen here.
Every month I am paid my euro amount owed *minus* exactly ten euros. My bank confirms that each month the amount paid to me *from* sedo is the amount owed minus ten euros. My bank then takes a processing fee from that amount. sedo swear blind it isn't them holding back the ten euros. My bank swear blind it isn't them taking the ten euros as they claim those ten euros never even reach them. So yes I have noticed a strange fee but I just accept it now.
I should also add that two other parking programs I used to use transferred the exact amounts as they showed owing. Likewise with the various people I have sold domains to. Only sedo transactions result in the disappearing money.
