Is that a straight up wager? No odds? No points given?

That explains how you can pull for England...only when you have money involved.

I would have thought you were for anyone playing against england...well, I guess that is what your heart is saying - but your pockets are saying GO ENGLAND!

The children escorting the players onto the field has got to be one of the classiest acts of sportsmanship, unity, and hope I have ever personally witnessed.

I once scored a goal simply by the goalie diving to early and the ball bounced in front of him and then over him. It was like a slow motion thing. This was in the Air Force and we were playing indoor soccer which was really whacko. There was essentially no out of bounds. We would practice bank shots using the walls. It was fun but certainly not the same game.

Wondering how significant, in a historical context, that goal will be *if* the game results in a 1-1 tie?

If England advances to the next round (which I'm sure they will) will this be forgiven or will the tabloids relentlessly cover?; As soccer is taken much more seriously everywhere outside of the U.S. (though the game seems to be closing as of late)

The British media is brutal, heartless, and relentless towards their national team.

That goal will never be forgiven seeing the Yanks scored on them.
