The children escorting the players onto the field has got to be one of the classiest acts of sportsmanship, unity, and hope I have ever personally witnessed.

sometimes all you can do is laugh at the flookie shots at football, i remember at the last world cup south korea using similar tactics against england on their final friendly game prior the worldcup, scoring a few times!!
Now even without any gain, I want England to win!

I once scored a goal simply by the goalie diving to early and the ball bounced in front of him and then over him. It was like a slow motion thing. This was in the Air Force and we were playing indoor soccer which was really whacko. There was essentially no out of bounds. We would practice bank shots using the walls. It was fun but certainly not the same game.
Wondering how significant, in a historical context, that goal will be *if* the game results in a 1-1 tie?
If England advances to the next round (which I'm sure they will) will this be forgiven or will the tabloids relentlessly cover?; As soccer is taken much more seriously everywhere outside of the U.S. (though the game seems to be closing as of late)

The British media is brutal, heartless, and relentless towards their national team.
That goal will never be forgiven seeing the Yanks scored on them.
