Yeah I have the same really annoying buzzing noise in the background of the Australian commentators on Australian SBS HD TV

And I can hardly hear the 90,000 people there

Thats a shame if those friggin horns are causing that noise...I think next game they should be forced to sit on them....lol damn its crazy to wreck the whole world cup audio for some friggin toy horns.

There are perhaps a few hundred thousand in circulation in South Africa. I suspect that buzz will be a constant until the final game.

Typically, no one sits and there is noise the entire 90 minutes (plus) of play.

I love the atmosphere of actually being at a monster match up and true Euro style games. I managed to catch a few while in Italy (the Italian league games) and my wife and I had a blast.

yeah it would be nice to feel the crowd ...I have been at many major events with those horns and the fog horns and that is why at most professional sporting events have banned noise makers in the arenas...

it is a total distraction from the feel of the game. you can't even hear the crowd its really a shame... standing up or chanting or cheering is all lost with those horns. Only ones who are winning out with those horns is the people selling them ... LOL

at least the game was good.

Same for me Doc, ESPN3 is clutch right now!

They actually reported on the buzzing years ago when South Africa won the 2010 bid, thought there was some sort of deal worked out regarding the instruments, i guess it never came into effect.

I think putting Shakira in goal would be a big help to any team.
