    Godaddy auctions keep expiration date?

For example: if a domain is for sale at GoDaddy that was created several years ago and I win the auction, will the creation date stay the same?

How about if I backorder a domain through Godaddy?

Correct. No reset on GD auctions. But, that is not necessarily true when bidding on and winning other auctions, ie...listed for sale by someone other than GD.

What do you mean? Like a GD reseller or private seller auctioning off names?

Yes. I can a auction off a name on GD that is with any registrar. Once transferred to the new registrant, the creation date changes (unless we're doing a GoDaddy-to-GoDaddy push. If it is a name from a registrar like Moniker, once transferred to another registry, there will be a new creation date.

Great information Gerry, I have never thought about that scenario before but that definitely makes sense.
