Need to catch a drop for a client - Help me?

Ok, my client had a domain name .. registered by his "good friend and partner". Well the rest of the story is bad friends now, we didn't have access to the account and it expired.

    1) The .com domain was registered at GoDaddy
    2) My client has a GoDaddy account and a back order placed.
    3) It's a semi-valuable name, so there may be some competition on it.
    4) The name has a few hundred pages indexed in Google. (My pages).

If it was registered a GoDaddy to begin with, and then back-ordered through GoDaddy, should I worry about the catch too much or should I go ahead and back order it through another service to be safe rather than sorry?

If so, who do you recommend? I HATE a catch service that forces you to place the name with networksolutions.com or register.com because I think they are thieves, but, I may have to do whatever I have to do...

    Your valuable input is appreciated.

    Thank you,

    .:C::.

Back order it through every and any drop service you can.
Pool , Snapnames, ClubDrop, TDNAM, even try to hand reg it.
It is the only way to be sure you will get it.

    I second BobDigital.

I just lost a not-quite valuable .com domain hosted on GoDaddy own servers (!!!) a couple of days ago.

Do whatever you can to get the domain you really want, like above, even more if it is for a client. I'll follow those tips from now on, too.

Re: Need to catch a drop for a client - Help me?

    I got it

It was a pretty valuable domain, an actual keyword which ranked in the number 1 position across several SEs for my client's most valuable keyword.

He's pretty happy to have it back for the low, low price of $60.00. There was one other bidder who snapped some of the other domains that were dropped which we didn't want, however, we placed our bid first and he never checked our hand so we win

    EZ catch.
