DNF$: 0 Location: Michigan | Test Snapnames, GD and WWD I just put a back order on 1 domain name at Snap names, Wild West Domains and Go Daddy. Godaddy is the registrar. Its not a sought after domain name as far as I know. The domain went though TDNAM with out a bid. I for got to check and lost it.So... any thoughts on who gets it first? Ill post what happens. 1. Wild West 9 PM est. (20) minutes after 2. Snap names (10) minutes after that 3. Go Daddy. |

DNF$: 0 Location: Michigan | Update In thinking Snapnames is a better program, I canceled my snap names order, you know I should save money . Godaddy: I cancelled the domain I wanted shortly after my first post in this topic. I reorder the domain name 5 minute be for registry drop time 2:00 PM EST. GD back order did get the domain and put it in a private auction. The Auction wants me to spend $15 more dollars for the first bid. No other bids or visitors on the privet domain auction from the go daddy auctions. My GD reseller shop is with Wild West Domain (yearnames) sent me a message that they failed to capture the domain, I can not bid. I did see domain capture in progress. I also have a (info bullet), the radio button telling me I should keep the domain I have because the new owner is maybe tasting the domain. Last edited by Gregcyber; 09-17-2009 at 09:09 PM.. |

DNF$: 0 Location: Michigan | A few days ago I added the bid of $15.00, It was the only bid and I was the only visitor. I only had to pay $5.00 more dollars after I won the auction and my back order fee of $18.00 something. total $23.00 + what the hell, time. |

DNF$: 20 Location: Arizona | If the domain was registered with GoDaddy or WWD it will take 42 days before it goes into registry redemption and then it will take another 30 days or so for the GD backorder, Snapnames, or any other drop catching service to be of any value. As a side note, keep in mind that GoDaddy backorders placed before a domain is at auction or during the auction (if there are no bids on it) will place a bid on the domain. If no one bids beyond the $10 starting bid then the backorder will capture it on the 43 day. As far as the difference between a GD backorder and WWD backorder, it depends which registry connection captures it as to whether it goes to the private GD auction. If the WWD backorder had caught it then it wouldnt have gone to auction. Theres more detail and confusion when it comes to the new GD system, but thats the rough reality on backorders from GD.
