Two different views of the names are shown to make it easier for bidders to verify the domain is spelled correctly and has the characters they believed it to have. The intention is to make it easy to spot misspellings and domains that have numbers in them that could be mistaken as letters.
The "preorders" are anonymous in the fact that the bidder's user name and bid amount are protected and not displayed for all to see. In the # of preorders column in search results and on the domain detail pages it will simply say the number of preorders.
Once the domain goes to auction, then all bidders' user names can be viewed from the domain detail page.

Thank you for clearing up the "Anonymous" part. It makes "you as a bidder" Anonymous, but not the domain showing bids.
