Shaun Alexander, Matt Hasselbeck and the defending NFC champion Seattle Seahawks begin the 2006 NFL season with a road trip to Detroit to play the Lions and their new starting QB Jon Kitna.
With Charles Rogers, Mike Williams and Roy Williams to throw to, Kitna and the Lions passing attack could put up some big numbers, and they will need to produce if the Lions want to stay close to the Seahawks.
Alexander is one of the premier running backs in the NFL, and Hasselbeck appears ready for another All-Pro season.
Seattle will be sportsbook favorites to defeat the Lions on the road!
