- Good luck to all week #2 and every week -
I made a bit of cash and had a lot of fun. I run a gambling blog, it's a work in progress but you can still pick up some good info, historical trends, expert picks, etc. It's not all luck.
A little background on me. I love football. I've been betting and playing parlay cards about 25 years now, ever since high school in the 80's.
I'm a never say die New Orleans Saints fan from way back when. Before you start... I know all about the Aints and can still remember when the majority of fans were doing 'the unknown comic' impression with paperbags over their heads. But that was then, and this is 2009. Geaux Saints!
Anyway, I digress. Good luck again, one and all.

A bit ignorant at this, pardon me.
I assume the site automatically calculates the MNF pick/scores into the standings(?)
So if I read it correctly, my "eeni meeni mini mo" strategy got me 4th place in week one?

congrats to week 1 winner! This weekend there is some really tough games, should be a good day for football!
Happy Birthday Adam!!!
I see my Baltimore Ravens defense tried to give the game away to a backup quarterback. Of course the offense played so well that it didn't matter with Joe Flacco passing for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. The defense will have play better if their to beat the Chargers. One plus is that Running back LaDainian Tomlinson will most likely not play because of an ankle injury.

Question, if I put in my picks a week ahead, does the updated / end of week point spread changes affect my picks? Can I lock in a spread, or no?
Spreads are universal for the entire pool and they do not change. You can't lock in a spread that hasn't been released. If you make your picks early before the point spreads are released, you live with whatever the point spread is. Your team selections do not change. You are essentially picking "blind".
I do not see a Topic for Week 2 in the pool. I believe that I can win 1st place for Week Two if Miami covers tonight and the total score is 44 or higher. C'mon Wildcat!
Thanks for the answer, but I do know that spreads come out at the beginning of the week and you can lock in a bet at lets say, bodoglife and thats the spread you will be playing against, but I do see how it makes moer sense for the pools for everyone to have a set spread to make it less confusing.
I think tonights game is going to be low scoring <30 total points, but anything can happen. Still deciding on whether or not to go.
Oh and I can come in third if indy covers and stays under 34 points...![]()

Mercy, my panthers are sucking.
But, they suck good. If you are going to doing anything be the best at it.
teeeeehhhh, I thought Carolina was going to get that garbage touchdown at the end to cover the spread... :::::wooooofffff:::::
Week 5 winner. What a game. Miami came through for me bigtime. Good luck to all in week 6.
