They sucked big time when I tried them.
If you are new to domains and looking to buy, sell and learn about domains then you have come to the right place. DNForum is the largest domain name community on the internet and continues to grow every day. There are over 105,000 domainers on DNForum doing everything from buying domains, selling domains, learning about domains and discussing domains. Take a minute and Register.
Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!They have a really good rating on Cnet, but I have never known anybody who has used them.
Does anybody here have any thoughts on them? I may be looking for a new host. I like their reseller options but don't really like how I can only host 1 domain on my own account. Basically I would have to resell Hosting to myself for each domain I want to host.. and I have over 100.. :(
Just wanted to get some opinions. If not aplus.net, then who is better?
Thanks!
They sucked big time when I tried them.

It's always a good idea to do a search here at the forum when you want opinions on any particular service be it Hosting or registrations or whatever. Answers are probably covered already. People forget that for some reason.
In the case of Aplus.net/Names4ever for example, you'll find they have defrauded domainers before using landrush pre-registrations, taking $thousands.
Yeah after posting this I did a search and found other threads. Sorry about that. :(
And what is a landrish pre-registration? Is that when they allow people to pre-register and then when given the goahead, they buy as many as possible ASAP?
And what do I need to know in order to run a VPS or dedicated server? I don't think I know enough to do this... :(

007, yes.. i have been using them for a while now and i would highly recommend them to anybody with lots of domains.
What is it that you want to do? This can help you decide what you want.
Well I don't have server experience, so that might be a problem for me, but I have over 100 domains with about 30-40 of them being used for actual sites.
You could take the most incompetent person in the world, clone him 40 times, re-staff APlus.net and see a 9 billion percent increase in APlus's productivity/ability. They suck royally.
And their mailers that look like bills make me want to...do bad things. Avoid like the plague.
Maybe you should just get a reseller. I could set you up with one. If you are interested you can give me an email. I also have a friend who does VPS's. jojoyohan@gmail.com
