Can you send me an example? Is it only one type of site - ie - running on wordpress, or does it happen to all on your account?

It happened to my brother, everytime he would remove it, it would come back after 24 hours, javascript sending people to affiliate sites, cookie stuffing, anything like that. Hostgator simply said the account was hacked, from my experience this is exclusive to hostgator, they are a reliable, fast hosting company but ive read many stories of this.

Check permissions and for XSS vulnerabilities. Maybe you use some kind of free script which are open for XSS attacks.

Usually when I hear something like this it is from free hosting companies that require a link or banner on your site in exchange for free hosting.

Care to post the code that shows after the <./html>?
