There may be registry requirements for certains TLDs. In the case of .de I believe you need at least 2 name servers and they must not be within the same C class IP range.
You need to check if your new NS fit the requirements.

I have emailed the registrar -- but who knows when they will email back.
Anyway, I'm using 2 nameservers, but they are in the same IP range (I think)
They're on a cheapy reseller account.
I'm going to try my other reseller account -- maybe it will stick.
I might have to get a special Hosting account just for the *.de domains I have.
If anyone is an affiliate for one -- Reseller, 2 servers in different IP ranges, post or pm your affiliate link.
