Anyone has an experience with a reliable host with CPanel that accepts PayPal ?
I need a small package -- around 100M HD / 1G Bandwidth...
Please only post if you have a real experience with such .. not looking to get spammed for this post ...
Thanks !

I suggest checking out webhostingtalk.com. With your requirements, don't look on spending that much money as that comes cheap these days.
Thanks guys...
Btw, I already changed Hosting twice, when both of them were pretty cheap, but the reliability & support wasn't that good.
I can host it for you. Please PM me if interested.

They certainly are cheap, take pp , and have cpanel.
Consider becoming a reseller or affilliate with them to get it even cheaper
Their support has been good to me.
Mind you, I got no idea what I am doing

My 2 last Hosting were under a reseller and I didn't really like the results... I dont mind paying more if I know that a big company is providing the hosting (I would go with eNom but they only have Windows hosting).
I just want it to be reliable .... and it seems to be a rare thing from my short experience
=-=-=-=-
I think I'll try bgfweb

I found them via aforementioned WebHostingTalk. Awesome reliable Host! (And cool short .com name!). I indeed pay them via PayPal (monthly, via subscription)
Best of luck!

Looks like you already have your answer.Originally Posted by madcamel
Two major reasons for most unreliable hosts are:
Overselling - Some so-called resellers are overselling too much. In other words, they are selling 100 accounts of 100 MB each even though their own plan allows only 1,000 MB. Yes, their upstream providers allow that; and wait, their upstream providers are overselling themselves. No wonder their servers are overloaded.
Pricing and Support - Other resellers do not oversell, but they charge too low a price of their clilents. You can easily find people asking for only a couple of dollars a month (regardless of disk space and bandwidth) AND promise 24/7 support. Now tell me, how on earth is anybody able to provide good support for a couple of dollars a month?? A single support ticket every other month would write off that couple of dollar!
In short, you get what you pay for, so shop smart. Good luck.

Thanks NameSlave !
you can also use http://www.whois.sc/ to find out how many websites are running on the same ip to give you a rough idea if they are overselling. i personally got fedup with webhosts so rent my own server, expensive but i know everything that is going on with it all the time and the server resources are dedicated to run my sites so i dont have to worry about someone elses havily used site slowing down my sites or even worse someone else running unsecure scripts and server being hacked

Yes, I agree that running your own dedicated server allows more comprehensive control; but then it's more expensive (as you mentioned) AND requires relatively more technical know-how's than managing a shared or reseller Hosting account. I guess for most others, they just need a good (reliable) host.![]()

Agreed. The user is looking for 100MB with 1GB of bandwidth. A dedicated server is sort of an overkill.Originally Posted by nameslave
I would also suggest looking around at webhostingtalk.com . You can usually find yourself a good deal there and also lots of reviews about different companies.
Just remember not to go with a host that is "too good to be true". I.E. $10 a year for unlimited diskspace and bandwidth. =)
Hope this helps.
I wouldn't use webhostingtalk as a guide to a good host. They are very biased toward some companies whether the companies are actually any good or not. Another problem is the top hosts sites. They are not updated often enough. The best way to find out whether a host is any good or not is to google the host and see what pops up in forums such as this one. And look at how long the company has been in business. Unless they are a very new company you'll find things about the company one way or the other.
i can tell you as many hosts as you want but they dont accept paypal
Well to be fair, there ARE decent hosts out there that accept PayPal; you just need to take some time to do your homework (research).Originally Posted by mohdasim87
