Some thoughts:
Weight: 10.2KB - very good.
Font: How about a non-italic font for the top text... it isn't as prominent as I think it could be... the italicized "sub-text" in a smaller font size is good, but you should try and draw a bit more attention to the top 3 words above.... (and perhaps not skew them at than angle)..
Overall, a nice design. Clean.

Add more information on why your site should be visited instead of competior's site.
Add a click here or go there now: some form of call to action.
I would suggest to lighten up the colors to make it more friendly...Seems a bit morbid right now /all monotone.

... I also think that you should also add some more information. Maybe you should transform it into a animated gif... so you could animate your additional information. Also a little bit more contrast would be good - it should really be an eye-catcher
