Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!I have a site which uses a lot of photo images. Due to the quality i need I am currently saving as JPEGS. But the files are roughly 1.5mb in size and rapidly eating into my HD Space.
What would be the best format to save in without losing the size and quality of the image but much reducin the size of the file.
Cheers in advance, DW
I'm not sure there is a suitable format for you. If you want to reduce the size this means to throw information out of the files but you want to keep the current quality and size also, so this will be a problem.
The JPEG format itself is already a compression with losing of information (quality) but to some acceptable extent.
Maybe you should make a compromise between the size of the file and quality+size of the images.
