Thats pretty cool, allthough personally I would have had the lettering in the right hand side just flat rather than isometric

Re: DomainingBlog.com Logo for review.

Thank you. Just to clarify I was just refering to the logo. That banner is not the logo, the smiley face itself is the logo. I should of mentioned that in the first post.

Thanks again!

I went to look at the logo when I read your first post and I thought it was excellent. Then I read this post, and went again, not realizing it was a smiley face. Now that I know it is a smiley face, I see it, but now I don't know if I like it. When All I saw was a db and not a nose it was better.

Re: DomainingBlog.com Logo for review.

The smiley face contains the db because d and b are the initals for Domaining Blog. The d and b make up the nose of the smiley face. It also makes up the mascot, Dotty. Dots are in all domains, Dotty is made up of dots as well as the db which represents Domaining Blog. I like it because of it's simplicity yet it still has meaning. I designed the banner as well as the logo so I appreciate what you are saying. I prefer the banner at the footing of the page to the one that heads the page. Regardless everybody is entitled to their opinion and that's why I posted this. I was looking for feedback and I appreciate all of it. If anybody has anything else to add it's appreciated.

Thanks again!

Re: DomainingBlog.com Logo for review.

I'm a graphics designer and I didn't see the "db" until I came to this thread (I landed on your page from the sale of lottery.org thread.)

It's creative, albeit hidden in the visual clutter that appears on the left. The incorporation of the letters d and b as part of a smiley is "cute" but does not allow for the initials to stand out. You have additional circles (eyes, mouth) that overall prohibit the logo to stand out. The colors blend in too much.

All this as creative criticism.

Re: DomainingBlog.com Logo for review.

No problem, it's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for the comments. I would like to add that logo's can have things contained within them that may not be recognized at first as long as the logo is easily recognizable. For instance the Stussy logo is rated as one of the best logo's of all time yet at first you may not be able to tell that it actual spells Stussy. Sometimes the best logos actually make you take a second glance.

Thanks again!

Re: DomainingBlog.com Logo for review.

The banners have been updated. The logo remains the same.
