There's no code at all. Simply put the favicon.ico file in the root of your website's directory and it'll be loaded automatically.![]()

Ok Cool! Thanks StianI thought it was more difficult then that.
The proper way to do it would be to add a line or two in the "head" section of your HTML source code, see:

http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/
Great! Thanks for the information all
This is a good software to create favicons:
http://www.mazepath.com/InstantIcon.htm
1. I tried this website: http://www.aha-soft.com/download.htm to create my ico (it's free)
2. I dropped my ico in my root directory
3. I used this line in my header after my meta tags: <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />

Somewhere between the <head> and </head> tags, insert the line <link REL=”SHORTCUT ICON” HREF=”http://www.yourdomain.com/favicon.ico”>
Replace the link with your domain.
If you want to steal another websites favicon, its usually in their root folder called favicon.ico.
