    At the start, I think it's way too big to be so plain. You might consider, reducing the size, getting rid of the top margin except for perhaps 3-5 pixels. Doing that will bring all or almost all your content "above the fold". You want people to read the content more than you want to worry about how the site looks. You have a lot of "white space" that serves no real purpose... I don't know if it's because you are planning on adding stuff there or if you have another reason for it.

    In addition there is a image that should be showing but isn't.

    Looks should blend in and highlight the information you are offering. That being said, there is a whole lot of creativity and leeway involved in layout out the graphics for a website.

    I don't like the banner at all. Much too plain, and very amateur like. I would recommend going with a professional web design company, if you are looking for professional results. Good luck.
