Depends on the Hero your site is trying to promote....

If your target audiance is older & helpless with technology #1

If you looking for the kaPoW here I am, super tech savvy then #2

Both look good.

Just think of who you are marketing to. That should help

MMM nice graphics but #1 is too old and would not appeal alot so i woul say #2

Some very nice illustration there! I myself prefered the 1st one, the old guy in his socks, it is far nore original, quirky and memorable to my mind. But it's true that it doesn't make for a very "dynamic" superhero, it depends what message you are trying to get accross, reliable and trustworthy, or dynamic and hip. I personally didn't like the second charater nearly as much...
