Hi...need some input into my SEO

wanna make sure im doing things right...

looking at MSN i am #4 overall for my keyword (easy italian recipes (no quotes) OVT = 1181) for italianhomerecipes.com

is this good?...no good?

your feedback would be appreciated.

it's alright. you have to keep in mind that this is based on yahoo's traffic, not MSN's, which has a smaller portion of the market. keep at it!

MSN indexs sites much faster than google and yahoo. MSN's preference is on fresh material. That's why it's already in MSN but not yet yahoo or google.

i havent really added any fresh material to my site in while...all i recently did was post some ads on craigslist......u think this did it?

could be, but keep working on yahoo and google. they're more work by far more valuable.

i realize that.....but seo work is generic...no?...you cant specifically target your seo for yahoo or google??..can u ??

OVT 1000 probably means Google gets 900 searches, Yahoo 80, and MSN 20

I rank very high (#2) on MSN for keywords with XX,XXX est. searches and get little traffic.

I also rank very high (#2) on Yahoo for high OVT keywords, and i get only a fraction of OVT estimated monthly searches.

Google is not even king, Google is "emperor" and sometimes "God", can send up to 95-99 percent of all your traffic.

Every Search Engine has points they give weight to , so for every of them you have to work specially.
Ranking on msn is easy cause their database is small and new sites can rank real high within days.But for google it takes time and even more time for yahoo (the oldest one

Imo if you have a site related to children and women you can get hits from msn , cause msn messenger has a huge sale and when installed the default homepage is www.msn.com and generally people don't compare much and if they see a search box they enter the keyword and search. ( Pavlow

But if you have a tecnical site then msn is the worst cause engineers etc is conservative and they use what they tried , got the best results (google).
I have a tecnical site that ranks real good on msn and that brings me traffic as low as 10 uniques per month.
So target google and search for it.
