DNF$: 4,081 Location: toronto | Article too long? After having a conversation with a friend..he said something that I could not compute....he swears that Google will not index a page if the article is too long. I mean 5000 or more words in length. He has a couple of them and said it would be better to make it into a manual and or ebook becuase Google cannot pick up the keywords on such a large article? Is this true? I thought article length was not a factor at all...

Country: | I don't know about Google but IMO it's poor design to have an extremely long article. It would be easier on your visitors to break it into separate pages, I think netiquette (sp?) dictates 1.5 to 2 screens worth of space (up and down) at most.

Country: | Never heard of this. Wiki articles are sometimes ranked number 1. And many read like books. However, I do agree that occasional page breaks are very helpful and easier on the eyes, even if it is a graphic, google or affiliate banner, or a photo image. |
