Can parked domains banned by Google/Yahoo be re-indexed? - DNForum - Domain Sales, Domain Forum, Domain Appraisals, Domain Registrars

We know that parked domains can get banned by search engines, but after removing from parking and creating a site for it, can it be re-indexed? Has anyone experienced this?

Not sure about Yahoo but with Google the answer is it's definately possible by doing a "reinclusion request" which is the term G uses.

Google bans domains for other reasons, not for parking - e.g. for spamming G with database-driven "pages".

No, not referring to "developed sites", but domains that are parked right after registration, seem to drop off after sometime. Almost all top names are affected, try http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...G=Search&meta=

Google would ban a domain name that had content that violated their Webmaster Guidelines.

Unfortunately that link is obsolete and the resulting Google form, although seemingly functioning, responds with the following automated email:

I remember seeing that same message a few weeks ago when I was trying to tell one of the Google webmasters about a error on one of their pages.

I never was able to find a good way to contact them, so I gave up.

Question:How do I request reinclusion of my site?

Answer:
If your site has violated google webmaster guidelines, and you've made changes to it so that it meets our guidelines, you can request reinclusion and we'll evaluate your site.

In addition, if you recently purchased a domain that you think may have violated our guidelines before you owned it, you can use the reinclusion request form to let us know that you recently acquired the site and that it now adheres to the guidelines.

To request reinclusion, log in to Google Sitemaps, choose the "Request reinclusion" link, and follow the steps outlined there.

I had a domain parked with Namedrive awhile back that for some reason got banned from Google. I moved it to another server then parked it with another parking company after awhile. Maybe it was the server change but after a couple of months it doesn't show up as banned anymore when I do the Google test. So I guess the answer is yes sometimes.

Google constantly changes the rules and algorithims so staying on top of them is a full time job it seems. I figured the domain was done but it worked out okay.
