I've been trying to get my site, http://www.casamassima.net indexed by google for about 5 months now and it seems that I'm having no success. I'm in Yahoo, MSN, and all the other search engines, but google doesn't seem to like my site. I have about 30 links to my page as well. Can anyone tell me what I can do to get my site in google? I have also suggested my site to Dmoz.org and yahoo's directory.
Thanks,
Mike Pastore

Has the domain been registered before?

I looked at my logfiles and I don't see anything that would look like googlebot, not sure if it has a specific IP. It's a brand new domain, never has been registered before. How long does it normally take to get indexed?
maybe your mentioning it here will help as this site is definitely picked up by google.
5 month's is way too long.... the problem is not your site, must be your incoming links... for google to crawl your site you need to have some visibility... whatever sites you got linked up on are not linking to you properly... either that.... or they are crappy sites that don't get crawled by google neither
example; if i link up to your web site on my site today, and google crawls my web site tomorrow it will follow all links on my site and crawl/index your web site as well, the same day...
but then again... maybe your site is banned? that is more likely the case here![]()
Your site is clearly banned, I did a google search for casamassima.net which should return something like "If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link", but that is not the case for your site. What you get instead is: "Sorry, no information is available for the URL."
Wow, how did I get banned? It's a brand new domain name....
usually.. you get banned when you have other domains/sites url forwarding to your index page... google bans you for "having dual content" which it does not tolerate'
Google does not ban for domain forwarding ... it is much more likely that the host is the problem. If you have Google concerns you need to go to the horses mouth: http://www.google.com/webmasters/2.html
your site looks pretty ordinary .. so unless you're trying to fool the search engines in some way that isn't immediately obvious it is unlikely you are the problem... dig deeper.

I even paid and asked google "answers", but they closed my ticket and referred be to their FAQ's. I don't think I'll ever find out why they won't index my site.![]()
nyspqr, the solution is pretty simple... just register a new domain and move all of your content there.... that's like your only option... if gettin crawled by google is that important to you that is'
Brand new ? Is it 4 year old brand new ?Originally Posted by nyspqr
May you picked it deleted which is not the same as brand new.
Go to www.archive.org and search your domain history, you'll find it was active before.

That script you see is from Google themselves. I have Google Adsense on my site. That code is what Google gave me to place in my site. I could be banned from a previous owner of the domain name, I never thought about that..
Thanks all for your help!!! You gave me a number of things to consider......
Google doesn't like AdSense on entry pages. Usually these are just "click to enter" pages, but they may see your first page that way, since you have an "enter" button at the bottom. You may want to skip the first page, rename http://www.casamassima.net/home.html to "index.html" and put the AdSense ad there. The paragraphs that you have on the entry page could be spread out through the site. It's a little confusing to have to scroll through all that just to get to the "enter" button at the bottom of the page.
I just noticed that my site was index by Google finally! Thanks for everyone's help!
