Question Crazy MSN -v- Google results?

Take a look for the unquoted term:

    engineers recruitment

    Then:

    http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx...-US&FORM=REDIR

FIRST in 5 million+ results for my domain engineers.net

NO SHOW in Google at all.

I just check up your site on a google ban checker this is what i got.

The domain name has no PageRank value, it is LIKELY to be banned.

The domain name has no records with Google. It is either new or MAY BE banned.

Kenny, I will be checking up on that. No reason on earth that I can think of why my site should be "banned". Thanks.

Well google always keeps playing around with their code so many times even genuine sites get filtered out...you should try a re-inclusion request but tis very rarely they act upon it because of the shear number of requests sent to them everyday.

    banned in Google

Was the site ever involved with shady link exchanges or link farms, or cloaking... or other black hat techniques?

Is the content just duplicate of content that is on other Web sites? Has it scraped content in the past?

There might be more clues in your raw logs if you grep the search engine hits out of them.

Nope - will check out the grep SE's. Thanks. This is a 2-year innocent site.

Check out archive.org -- the history (as well as registration) goes back more than 2 years. There might be some clues in archive.org also.

When was the last time you saw the site in Google?

I guess I am missing the point of your post then.

Or Perhaps you just didn't understand my answer. It can be only one of two things:

    1) Site has never been indexed, or
    2) Your site is banned.

I made the assumption you had the domain for some time and were getting indexed. Apparently this is not the case.

I will attempt to tell you something you dont know next time I post.

azooza, very impressive on the MSN which seems to have a whole different criteria for ranking.

Light a fire under Google's ass and you should have a great showing.

Have you checked how you appear in Yahoo?

Thanks Doc. Rest of it leaves me tired. I don't really care unless there's an explanation.

    Just checking again today.

This is quite nuts. Number three here for the simple term 'engineers' on Yahoo worldwide from 282 million results, but nothing at all in Google:

Create a sitemap.xml file and submit it to Google's webmaster tools at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/

It will tell you exactly why your website is not appearing in Google. They could have a problem accessing your page, you could be excluding them by accident with a robots.txt file etc...

If your website is banned you will also be able to send a re-inclusion request from your Google webmaster tools account.

You can also submit your sitemap to Yahoo, MSN and Ask.com

Now it's dropped out of MSN. Thanks to all those that answered. Now my checker is telling me that it's a PR3. Giving up on it for now.

Submit your sitemap to MSN as well and you should find out why you are dropping out of it.
