I recently converted my site over to .asp.
Will the spiders still crawl through those pages??
I finally got a PR2 last update and I don't want to lose it
Yes, they crawl them, since I have seen .asp pages listed under google results.
good...i didn't want to do anything to jeopardize my PR rank.
Depends if you use parameters in your scripts like
www.yoursite.com/page.asp?article=1912
then you should seriously consider using a URL rewriting scheme like mod_rewrite (for Apache) so you could have your URLs automatically converted to search engine friendly format like:
www.yoursite.com/article/1912
NameNewsletter.com - free lists of available domain names
ZoneFiles.net (beta) - ccTLD and gTLD droplists
Agreed. Just wanted to add that they MAY crawl them, but they also MAY only include one of the page.asp in their search results and ignore any other ? parameter pages or even worse consider it duplicate content depending on the actual contnet of the page.Originally Posted by sdsinc
